VISUAL EFFECTS
In this university module, I was tasked with exploring an area of VFX that I hadn’t previously investigated. I chose to delve into particle dynamics, aiming to create a magic effect. The result was a magical spiral that transforms into a dragon flying away. Inspired by the Patronus charm from Harry Potter, I sought to capture a similar sense conjuration. This project allowed me to develop my understanding of particle simulations and refine my ability to craft intricate, visually striking effects.
As part of a university module, I worked in a team of four to recreate the trailer for the classic 1954 sci-fi film Them!, a story about a giant ant invasion. Each team member brought unique CGI skills to the project, allowing us to collaborate and bring the trailer to life with modern visual effects. My role focused on Texturing, Procedural Modelling, and VFX, where I used my technical expertise to create realistic assets and dynamic effects that captured the original film’s thrilling tone. Below are examples of the effects I contributed to this project.

In this university module, I was tasked with recreating a scene using advanced visual effects techniques, including procedural modelling. For my project, I chose a scene from the video game Death Stranding, aiming to capture its atmospheric and cinematic qualities. Leveraging Quixel Megascans, I incorporated high-quality assets to build a realistic environment, focusing on precision and attention to detail. This project allowed me to push my skills in scene composition, texturing, and procedural workflows to deliver a visually compelling recreation.

For this Look Development module, I created a scene inspired by the iconic visuals of Alien. Using Maya, I focused on crafting detailed, atmospheric environments through lighting, texturing, and shading techniques. The three stills showcased here highlight the eerie, futuristic tone I aimed to achieve, emphasizing mood and realism through attention to detail.
This section highlights a collection of personal projects and research and development (R&D) work I completed throughout my university journey. These projects allowed me to experiment with new techniques, refine my skills, and push creative boundaries in all areas of VFX. From small-scale experiments to more ambitious concepts, each piece represents my commitment to learning and exploring the potential of cutting-edge tools and workflows."
